Birthday Wishes Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. In this post, I want to share my DT creation for Creative Knockouts. The theme for the next two weeks is Birthday Wishes, and All Dressed Up as our generous sponsor offers 2 digi images to one winner, so I really hope you will find some time to join us.

The cute image that I played with for this challenge is called Let’s Fly a Kite. To make this card, I started with inking up the card base with Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry. While it was drying, I stenciled a cloud background on white card stock. For coloring the adorable image, I grabbed my alcohol markers. Then I hand cut the girl and the kite. Next, I adhered a piece of scrap patterned paper onto the cloud background. After that, I glued down the cute images and stamped the sentiment. As a final touch, I added some twine, and my card was done.

Cute Challenge at The Crafter’s Cafe

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT creation for The Crafter’s Cafe. The theme is ‘Cute’, and Polkadoodles as our generous sponsor offers 3 images to one winner, so I hope you will find some time to join in the fun.

The image that I played with is called Pisces. Such an adorable image, suitable for Valentine’s Day or birthday. To color up the cuties, I used alcohol markers. I first started with drawing some waves and then colored in the fish. As the image is just too cute itself, I did not add any embellishments, so to finish off the card, I just applied Crystal Stickles along the edge, and my card was done.

A Valentine’s Day Card

Hey there and welcome. One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to use up my craft stash, well at least try to use before buying and hoarding new stuff. So, when making this card, I went shopping my stash. And I found this pretty patterned paper, but sadly the scrap was way too small to cover my entire front side. To make it work, I tore it in two and distressed the edges. For coloring the adorable image, I grabbed my alcohol markers. After coloring, I stamped the sentiment and added some white highlights. Next, I die cut a frame to go behind the colored panel. After assembling and adhering all the parts, I applied Crystal Stickles onto the hearts, and my card was done.

A Valentine’s Day Card in Red, Black, and White

Hey there and welcome. In this post, I want to share a Valentine’s Day Card. I started with inking up the card base using Distress Oxide Ink in Abandoned Coral. While it was drying, I colored up the adorable image with alcohol markers. Then, I sprinkled the card base with water drops to make it look more interesting. Next, I adhered the colored panel with craft foam and stamped the sentiment. I found three little heart-shaped die cuts in my stash, so they had to be added, too. As a final touch, I applied Crystal Stickles on the die-cut hearts and added some white highlights, and my card was done.
