An Interactive Card for A Place to Start

Hey there and welcome. I hope you’re doing very well. In this post, I would like to share my DT creation for A Place to Start Challenge Blog. The theme for May is as always Anything Goes with the optional twist of ‘For a Child’.

Many children love interactive cards, so I decided to make one. I started with stenciling the cloud background. While it was drying, I colored the adorable images with markers. They are from Vera Lane Studios, but I couldn’t find them on the site anymore. Maybe they are discontinued, I don’t know. To make them fly, I adhered acetate strips on the back of the images. After assembling all the pieces, I stamped the sentiment. As embellishments, I added some flowers, and my card was done.

 Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a fantastic week so far. In today’s post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Creative Knockouts. Our theme for the next two weeks is ‘Fun Fold’, and All Dressed Up as our generous sponsor offers 2 images to one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to join us.

For this challenge, I made a pop-out gatefold card. I started with stenciling the background. While it was drying, I colored in the digi called 'It’s Snowing' with markers. Next, I die cut a scalloped rectangle to go with my image. After distressing the edges, I adhered the panel onto the die cut. Then I made the card base. I love that it looks more complicated than it actually is. And it displays so nicely, pretty effective. The stenciled parts, I glued directly onto my card base. For the image, I grabbed foam tapes. As a finishing touch, I added some white highlights, and my card was done.

A New Challenge at Penny’s Paper-Crafty

 Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a fantastic week so far. In this post, I’d like to share my DT card for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge. Our theme is always Anything Goes, so I hope you will find some time to play along with us.

The image I played with is called Winnie Daisy Taking a Break Toadstool, and I colored it with markers. It’s such an adorable image, so much fun! After coloring, I die cut it and matted it on a scalloped die-cut piece. It was then when I realized that my finished panel was bigger than the card bases I normally use. And as I had run out of my 12x12 cardstock, I couldn’t make a bigger one. So, I decided to create a hexagon-shaped card base from all the scrap cardstock bits that I could find in my stash. But in the end, it turned out better than I hoped for, and I’m really happy with the result. I was actually so happy that I even forgot to add my sentiment, but well I can live with that :-)
