Wings & Things Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is “Wings & Things”, and The Artsystamper as our generous sponsor offers 1 digi set for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

To make my card, I used an image and sentiment from Nesting Sparrows digi set. For coloring, I picked Prisma colored pencils. The base card I stamped with woodgrain background stamp from Hero Arts. Then I die cut a gold frame out of some embossed metallic specialty paper. The scrap patterned paper I found in my stash. As a final touch, I distressed the edge of my panel with Distress ink and adhered that with some foam tapes. This color palette is not my usual cup of tea, and stepping out of my comfort zone was not easy, but I think it looks nice.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

‘Add a Sentiment Challenge’ at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is “Add a Sentiment”, and our generous sponsor All Dressed Up offers 2 images for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

The adorable image that I used on my card is called Flower Fairy. For coloring, I used Prisma colored pencils. Then I die cut the flowers and colored it up with metallic paints. While that was drying, I stamped a woodgrain pattern onto my base card, grabbed some scrap patterned papers from my stash and die cut them. After assembling and adhering all the elements, I stamped the sentiment (oh my, I almost forgot!), and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

‘Flowers Challenge’ at The Crafter’s Cafe

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for The Crafter’s Cafe. The theme is “Flowers”, and we have three generous sponsors: Stamper's Delight, Fred She Said, and Decosses Dynamite, so I hope you will find some time to join in the fun.

The image of my choice is from Stamper's Delight and is called Plant Fuchsia. I printed this gorgeous digi on vellum and used alcohol markers for coloring. Then I die cut a frame and colored it up with dark purple alcohol marker as well. To make a shaker card, I grabbed some silver sequins and adhered all the prepared elements onto my card base. As a final touch, I applied a lot of Diamond Stickles onto the frame, and my card was done.

I hope you like how my card turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

The digi of my choice is called Camera Girl, and it is such an adorable image. For coloring, I used Prisma colored pencils. The patterned paper, the lacy die-cut border, and the black frame are all scraps that I try to use up someday.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Sparkle & Shine Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is “Sparkle and Shine”, and our generous sponsor StarStampz offers 3 images for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

To create the background, I stenciled some clouds directly onto the card base with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. While it was drying, I colored this adorable digi Red String using Prisma colored pencils. To simulate grass, I die cut two lacy borders out of green metallic paper. It is even embossed and super shiny, the shine is just so hard to capture on photos. After adhering the borders and the images, I decided to add some twine, sequins, and gems. As a final touch, I also applied Diamond Stickles, and my super sparkly and shiny card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny
