A New Anything Goes Challenge at Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge

Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a wonderful week so far. Today, I’d like to share my DT cards for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge. Our theme is always Anything Goes, so I hope you will find some time to play along with us.

The image I played with for this challenge is called All Star Bouquet from Alex Syberia. I printed it twice and colored one with Copic markers. Then I die cut a star from both panels. I also die cut two bigger stars and colored them using the dark navy shade I used for the star on the image. Next, I matted the main panels onto black scalloped cardstock. Then, I adhered the star shapes and also added the sentiments with foam tapes. As a finishing touch, I applied Crystal Stickles and Glossy Accents onto my colorful card and added gems to the spotlight-colored one.

I hope you like how they turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Birthday Card in Red

Hey there and welcome. I hope you have a wonderful week so far. In this post, I’d like to share a birthday card. To make this card, I tried a new variation of a gate fold card. I also made a belly band for the first time ever :-) The measuring, scoring, and cutting process took me like forever, but I think the result is definitely worth the time. And it displays so nicely, so I guess I’m going to make more of those in the future.

I hope you like how it turned out.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope to see you all again soon.

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Jinny

2 or More Papers Challenge at Dream Valley

Hey there and welcome. I hope your week got off to a fantastic start. In this post, I’d like to share my first DT creation for Dream Valley. Our theme is “2 or More Papers”, and one lucky winner has the chance to win the prize offered by Hetty Clare.

The image I played with for this challenge is called The Sunflower, and I colored it using Copic markers. I should have chosen the papers first, I know. But when card making, the coloring process is what I enjoy the most, so I again ended up having the colored image before having chosen the right patterned paper. Well, one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to use up all of my scraps anyway, so I created my own background with a bunch of scrap strips. I also decorated the inside using the last piece of scrap. I left out the sentiment as I will add a personalized one later when needed. As a final touch, I added some white highlights, and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A New Challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

Hey there, welcome. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. In this post, I'd like to share my DT card for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. The theme for the next two weeks is as always “Anything Goes”, and Streamside Studios as our generous sponsor offers 3 digi sets up to $15 value to one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to join us in the fun.

The set I played with for this challenge is called Peas and Thank You, and I made a shaker card. I thought the sequins would go really well with these cute images. For coloring, I used Copic markers. After coloring and fussy cutting, I made a frame from white cardstock. To color it in, I grabbed the middle green shade. Next, I adhered that onto a piece of acetate. I then glued the images and sentiment. As my shaker elements, I put a bunch of green sequins onto the card base and adhered the frame with foam tapes. As a final touch, I added some white highlights, and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny
