A Halloween Gift/Treat Box for LPOCF

Hey there and welcome. In this post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. Our theme is as always “Anything Goes”, and we have Mirtillamente as our generous sponsor, so I really hope you will find some time to join us in the fun.

For this challenge, I made a Halloween tent box. The fun image I used here is called Pumpkin Black Cat, and I colored it with markers. After coloring, I fussy cut the digi and added some white highlights. Next, I made the box. The image seemed to be lost against the busy patterned paper, so I wrapped vellum around it. As a finishing touch, I added some sequins, and my Halloween treat box was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Christmas Gift Box for The Crafter’s Cafe

Hey there and welcome. I hope your week got off to a great start. In this post, I’d like to share my DT make for The Crafter’s Cafe. Our theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of including an animal. And we have Beccy’s Place as our generous sponsor, so I hope you’ll find some time to join us in the fun.

For this challenge, I made a Christmas treat/gift box. The image I played with is from a set called Christmas Cardinals, and it’s just adorable! After printing, I first stenciled the background and set it aside to dry for a while. In the meantime, I scored and folded the box. I love to make those kinds of little boxes because I think they make small presents extra special. Next, I colored the image using markers. Before assembling the box, I adhered my colored panel, DP, and added a faux-stitching line as well.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

Embossing Delight Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a fantastic week so far. In today’s post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Creative Knockouts. Our theme for the next two weeks is ‘Embossing Delight’, and we have SheepSki Designs as our generous sponsor, so I really hope you will find some time to join us.

For this challenge, I made a Christmas gift box in non-traditional colors. To create my background, I first dry embossed my color card stock. Then I inked it with Distress ink in Broken China and also distressed the edges. While it was drying, I colored in the adorable image called Christmas Snooze with markers. After that, I very carefully fussy cut it. Next, I scored and folded the box. Before assembling it, I adhered my dry embossed pieces and the image. To finish it off, I added some gems.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Colorful Gift Box for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge

Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a fabulous week so far. In this post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge. Our theme is as always Anything Goes, and I hope you will find some time to play along with us.

For this challenge, I made a gift/treat box. The digi I used is from a set called Line Art: Sophie, and I colored it with markers. After coloring, I distressed the edges. Then I die cut the sentiment to do the eclipse technique. Next, I scored and folded the box. I then adhered my DP and the colored panel. As  embellishments I added a die-cut flower and leaf. To finish it off, I also applied some Crystal Stickles, and my box was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny
