Fall is in the Air Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is Fall is in the Air, and StarStampz as our generous sponsor offers 3 images for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

The image I used on my card is called Autumn Fall Girl Reading. I started with stenciling the clouds on the panel. Then I colored it with Prisma colored pencils. To add my sentiment, I did the eclipse technique. To get some dimension, I die cut the sentiment three more times and then glued them all together. In my stash, I found a piece of water colored paper, on which I stamped the leaves. It took me quite a while to fussy cut them, but they turned out to be so pretty, so it was worth the time! After adhering all the parts, I applied Stickles and Glossy Accents on the sentiment and the leaves. As a final touch, I added faux stitching lines, and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

An Altered Stamped Image

Hey there and welcome. Today, I have a one layer CAS card to share. The fairy image that I used on this card actually holds a flower in her hands, but I altered it: When inking the clear stamp, I very carefully left out the flower part. Then I stamped a leaf onto the empty space, so she is now holding that instead. To keep this card one layer, I had to do some masking when stamping. For coloring, I used Prisma colored pencils. After hand writing the sentiment, my Valentine’s Day card for next year was done :-)

I hope you like how it turned out and thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,

Jinny

A Bright Birthday Card

Hey there and welcome. Today I have a birthday card to share. I started with stamping the flower image on my orange card stock. For stamping, I used white pigment ink, so I set it aside to dry for a while. In the meantime, I stamped and colored up the adorable girl with Prisma colored pencils. As the eclipse technique is one of my most favorite ways of adding sentiments, I could not resist doing it on this card, too. The sentiment I die cut three more times and after gluing them all together, I heat embossed them: For the first two coats, I used clear, for the third and last coat, I grabbed holographic powder. After adhering the finished panel and the sentiments, I added faux-stitching, and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out and thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,

Jinny

TIC TAC TOE Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is         Tic Tac Toe, and Jan's Digi Stamps as our generous sponsor offers a $6 store gift certificate for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

I decided to go with bling/glitter, image, and die cuts. I started with stenciling my card base using DOI in Iced Spruce. While this was drying, I grabbed Prisma colored pencils to color up the adorable image from the Snow Globe Family set. As the eclipse technique is my most favorite way of adding sentiments to my cards, I could not resist doing it on this one, too. After adhering the panel and all the die-cut sentiment layers onto the card base, I applied Diamond Stickles onto the greeting. As a final touch, I added some gems, and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny
