One layer birthday card

Hello and welcome. I hope your week is off to a good start so far.
Here is the card I am sharing today:

To make the card, I tried two new techniques (at least for me).
The first technique I tried is mirror stamping. The second one is “block coloring” (I don´t know how to call it correctly). I didn´t color the actual stamped images but only the background. I have never done this before and felt weird leaving the images uncolored, but I really like the final look of it. To create the background, I used my precious water-color pencils and drew in the clouds, grass and balloon.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Jinny

A welcome card

Hello and welcome. The second card I´m sharing with you today looks like this:

This wonderful word die has been in my stash for a while, but I´ve never used it! So, I colored a piece of watercolor paper using rainbow colors and die cut the word. I die cut the welcome sentiment three times out of white cardstock and stacked them all on each other. I just love the dimension I get this way. I also die cut a piece of vellum and dry-embossed it and put it behind the word die cut. As final touch I added some Stickles and Glossy Accents on it. This kind of card style is something I don´t make often, but I actually really like the finished card and hope that you like it, too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Christmas card

Hello and welcome. I hope your week is off to a good start. I spent the whole weekend watching the Olympic Games. I stamped a whole bunch of images in advance and colored them while watching the Games. Anyway, here is the first card I am sharing with you today:

I wanted to add one more Christmas card to my stash, so I stamped one of my favorite images and colored it using watercolor pencils. I didn´t use any embellishments because I really wanted the image to stand out but to add something extra, I distressed the edges of my panel before adhering it to the card front.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Jinny

A birthday card

Hello and welcome. The third and last card I am sharing today is this one:

The images I colored using Copic markers in rainbow colors. I had so much fun creating the background and I really liked how it turned out. Therefore, I used a piece of vellum when following the sketch
(I personally love the look of vellum on cards, especially on busy backgrounds). As final touch I added some Stickles here and there and made them look like air bubbles.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Another card without a sentiment

Hi there and welcome. The second card I am sharing with you today looks like this:

Isn´t the image just beautiful? It´s one of my favorites at the moment and I colored it using watercolor pencils. To assemble the card, I used the sketch you can see here. As embellishments I only used liquid pearls to keep the card pretty simple.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

No sentiment card

Hello and welcome. Here is the first card I am sharing with you today:

The image I colored using watercolor pencils. After that I traced the outlines with a black gel pen. The papers are scraps I try to use up. As embellishments I added some flowers and gems. It´s totally out of my comfort zone to use flowers, but I think it looks nice. I didn´t add a sentiment, so I can make it suitable for any occasions.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

No line coloring for the first time

Hello and welcome. The card I´m sharing with you today looks like this:

To create the background, I first saturated a piece of watercolor paper with Distress Inks and then flicked some plane water on it. After it was dried, I flicked water (which was mixed with liquid pearls) and darker pink shades on to the panel. As I wanted to try the No-Line technique for the first time, I decided to use a very simple image which I stamped and colored using Distress Inks. To give the image a crisp look, I gently traced the outlines with watercolor pencils. I assembled the card using a sketch from MFT. The sentiment was stamped on vellum and as I didn´t want to cover the background, I just added three small hearts as embellishments.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A gift card holder card

Hello and welcome. The card I´m sharing with you today looks like this:

I wanted my card to hold a gift card, therefore I die cut two heart stripes out of my front panel. I then adhered it using craft foam and to adhere the image I used dimensional foams as well.

I haven´t bought a gift card yet, so I just slid in a pink plastic card to take the picture. As a final touch, I added two die cut hearts.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A flip/swing Christmas card

Hello and welcome. Here is the card I´m sharing with you today:

When I first saw the image, it reminded me of Kevin from the movie “Home Alone”. This image is just too awesome and makes me giggle! For a little bit of a surprise effect, I made a flip card, so the recipient first gets to see the adorable cat and then the hilarious boy image. Well, Christmas is just over, but I can´t wait till next Christmas to send this card!
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A CAS shaker card

Hi there and welcome. This time I am sharing with you a shaker card.

I heat embossed the main image and the sentiment using black glitter powder. After coloring the image, I carefully cut out the inside of the jukebox to make the window. My initial thought was just to add a piece of vellum, but because of my bright color choice it looked quite weird. In the end, I chose bright raspberry colored glitter and made a shaker card.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A CAS Valentine card

Hello and welcome. Here is the card I´m sharing with you:

To make it, I used the sketch provided by MFT Sketch Challenge.
To keep the front panel just one layer, I made a good use of masking.
To color the heart, I took a piece of gauze swab instead of a blending tool and put the color on with a dabbing motion (the ink color is Pumice Stone Distress Ink). The images were really quickly colored. I just used two watercolor pencils, scribbled some colors here and there and let the water do the blending for me. As final touch, I traced the outlines with a black gel pen.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A hello card

Hello and welcome. Today I am sharing with you a hello card.

The fantastic image is from Bugaboo and I printed it on vellum. To color the image, I used Copic markers on the back of the vellum and then mounted it on a piece of white cardstock. I love the soft coloring you get when using vellum. The color combination for this card is inspired by a photo provided by Bugaboo challenge which you can see here. To pull this card together, I grabbed my bin full of paper scraps (which I hope to use up someday). By the way, the sketch I followed is from Stella Says Sketch Challenge.
I hope you like how my card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
