Here's a little bit about Conie:

Conie Fong is a self-taught artist residing in California, USA with her husband, daughter, pet hamster and fishes. In her early childhood years, she was inspired by every kind of art and crafts. She loved watching demonstrations by artists on the streets and at festivals and spent most of her free time perusing arts and crafts books in the library, drawing, crafting and experimenting with her art supplies at home. Conie first started sharing her art with the world by selling ACEO reprints of her ACEO paintings of fairies, mermaids, and kitty art on Ebay in 2010. She was a full time account manager for a University before becoming a full time mom and part time artist. She currently enjoys spending time with her family traveling, exploring the outdoors, and designing beautiful, cute, and magical art for craft and coloring lovers.

The image I played with for this challenge is called Pumpkin Kitties. Such an adorable image, I just love it! I wanted this cute image to be as big as it can and be the focal point on my card. So, I struggled to figure out how to add 2 or more DP without them showing too much on the card. After much deliberation, I decided to paper piece the pumpkins. After coloring the kittens with alcohol markers, I paper pieced the pumpkins. The biggest pumpkin and ribbon, I had to color in using markers because I messed up when fussy cutting them :-( The paper-pieced parts were so hard to capture and don’t show well on the picture, but I am happy with the final result.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A New Challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

Hey there, I wish you all a very happy Sunday. In today’s post, I'd like to share my DT creation for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. The theme for the next two weeks is as always “Anything Goes”, and Pattie’s Creations as our generous sponsor offers 4 images to one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to join us in the fun.

The gorgeous image that I played with is called Thinking of You. For coloring, I used alcohol markers. I kept the card simple because the image itself is bold and eye-catching enough. The colored panel, I adhered with foam tape on dark orange card base. As a final touch, I just added some gems, and my card was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A New Challenge at Creations in Pink

Hey there and welcome. I hope you have a wonderful week so far. In this post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Creations in Pink. Our theme is always “Anything Goes in Mainly Pink”, so just as long as you have MORE PINK than any other colors in your creations, you’re good to join in the fun.

The image I played with is called A Little Bit Grumpy. To color it in, I used alcohol markers. The assembling process was simple: first, I die cut two striped background panels. Next, I adhered them diagonally onto the card base. After that, I added my image and some sequins. I left out the sentiment on purpose because I am going to write a personalized greeting later.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny
