A Sparkly Christmas Card in Pink

Hey there and welcome. I hope this month got off to a fantastic start for you. In this post, I would like to share my DT creation for A Place to Start Challenge Blog. The theme for December is as always Anything Goes with the optional twist of Happy Holidays.

To make this card, I started with die cutting some snowflakes from double-sided tape sheets. After adhering them onto white cardstock, I cut it in various shapes and sizes. One of them, I inked using Distress Oxide inks in various pink shades: Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar, and a touch of Seedless Preserves. While it was drying, I tore some vellum in two strips. On one of them, I stamped the sentiment with StazOn ink in Jet Black. I then removed the backing paper from the snowflakes and added some very fine silver glitter. I worked that in very well by rubbing it into the adhesive. Next, I wrapped the vellum pieces around my panel. To glue it onto my card base, I grabbed some foam tapes. It’s so hard to catch on the pictures, but the sparkle of the glitter is so pretty in real life, I just love it!

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Tag for LPOCF

Hey there and welcome. I hope you’re doing very well. In today’s post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. Our theme is as always “Anything Goes”, and we have Polkadoodles as our generous sponsor, so I really hope you will find some time to join us in the fun.

For this challenge, I made a masculine tag. I started with coloring the adorable image called Flower Bouquet Noodle Panda Bear with markers. I happened to have some bamboo DP in my stash, so after hand cutting it, I distressed the edges. When it was dry, I adhered it onto the die-cut tag. Next, I glued the fussy-cut image onto it. To finish it off, I added some twine and white highlights, and my tag was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Christmas Tag for Creative Knockouts

Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a fantastic week so far. In today’s post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Creative Knockouts. Our theme for the next two weeks is ‘Tis the Season’, and we have Polkadoodles as our generous sponsor, so I really hope you will find some time to join us.

For this challenge, I made a tag. Whenever I try to use up all those scraps of patterned paper, I love to make tags/bookmarks. The image I used here is called CupcakeGingerbread Holly, and I colored it with markers. To create the background, I alternately adhered the scraps. After that, I glued the fussy-cut image onto it. To finish it off, I added some sequins and twine.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

A Christmas Tag for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge

Hi there and welcome. I hope you have a fabulous week so far. In this post, I’d like to share my DT creation for Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge. Our theme is as always Anything Goes, so I hope you will find some time to play along with us.

For this challenge, I made a Christmas tag. The adorable digi I used is called Penguin Candy Canes, and I colored it with markers. Next, I tore a piece of scrap white card stock to create some snow. This piece I adhered directly onto the backing paper (a freebie that can be found on Beccy’s Blog here). Then I fussy cut the image and glued it onto my background. After stamping the sentiment, I added some white highlights and twine. As a finishing touch, I adhered three gems, and my tag was done.

I hope you like how it turned out, and I really look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny
