A Bright Birthday Card

Hey there and welcome. Today, I have a birthday card using rainbow colors. This image had been colored a long time ago without being turned into a creation. So, all I did was heat embossing the image with sparkle embossing powder and add the sentiment. The patterned paper and die cut were all scraps from my drawer. As a final touch, I drew some faux stitching, and my card was done.

A Birthday Card Using Favorite Color Combo

Hey there and welcome. This time, I have an OLC using my favorite color combo: kraft cardstock + any other colors. After stamping the adorable image (it's been in my stash for about four years), I colored it with Prisma colored pencils. As I love to have crisp black lines, I re-stamped the image. It is slightly offset as I had to eyeball it: I forgot to use a stamping tool from the beginning, but the re-stamping turned out to be okay. For stamping the sentiment, I grabbed my stamping tool because I really didn’t want to mess up anything at this point.

(This is a really tough choice to make, but I think Prisma colored pencils are my favorite at the moment. I used to love watercolor pencils, but because of my finicky printer, which cannot print on thicker paper, I am not able to use them on my digis. I also love that Prisma pencils can be used on Kraft card stock like I did for making this card.)

Time For A New Challenge At Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is “Finish The Inside”, and Jan's Digis Stamps as our generous sponsor offers a $10 store gift certificate for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

Finish the inside is something that I don’t do very often, so this week’s theme was quite challenging. After printing and die cutting the digi and sentiment from the Friendship Flowers set, I colored up the gorgeous image with Prisma pencils. Then I heat embossed both panels: first, I used clear then I grabbed sparkle embossing powder. This happened to become one of my most favorite techniques, and I do that pretty often as I just cannot resist all the beautiful shine and sparkle :) The patterend papers are scraps from my stash that I am trying to use up.

One Layer Birthday Card

Hey there and welcome. This time, I have an OLC to share. To make this, I followed a sketch provided by MFT Sketch Challenge. After stenciling the clouds, I directly stamped the images using Desert Sand Memento ink. For coloring, I used Prisma pencils. Then I stamped the sentiment, drew the eyes and noses with a black pen, and my card was done.

An Oldie But A Goodie

Hey there and welcome. Recently, I’ve been only using digis and totally neglected my precious rubber & clear stamps. So, I decided to grab some of my oldest rubber stamps and heat emboss the images. For coloring, I used watercolor pencils, which also have been neglected for a long time. The stamp I used here has been in my stash for about 7 years, and I still love its cuteness :) The patterned paper and ribbon were all scraps that I found in my drawer. It took me like ages to tie the bow (I don’t have a bow maker), but I am pretty happy with the result. Then I stenciled the card base and while that was drying, I tore some vellum and colored it with alcohol marker. To assemble the card, I followed a sketch provided by Crafty Friends Challenge. As a final touch, I added some Stickles, and my card was done.
