A New Challenge at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today I want to share with you my DT project for Creative Knockouts. This week’s theme is “Doily Delight”, and LeAnn’s World is the fabulous sponsor. One lucky winner has the chance to win 2 images, and that could be you, so I really hope you will find some time to create something and share them with us!

To make this card, I first printed out this adorable image called "Let’s Jam" on vellum. I personally really love to use markers on vellum because the colors look so soft and muted, just beautiful! Anyway, using alcohol markers I colored in the image on the back of the vellum. I love the “manga” look of it, so I chose to go with bold colors. For creating the background, I used a doily stamp. The outer corners I white heat embossed, and the gaps I filled in by just stamping with VersaMark ink.

I hope you like how my card turned out, and I am looking forward to seeing what you create for this challenge!

Hugs,

Jinny

Summer Feelings~~~

Hey there and welcome. In this post, I want to share a card that I made as a means of vicarious satisfaction. Staying at home for such a long time made me feel exhausted, so I made this card to cheer up :) I was able to use up some scraps which is always good, too. I hope it will be happy hour everywhere soon!

I hope you like how my card turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and keep safe!

Sorry I Was Crabby

Hi everyone and welcome. This time I want to share a sorry card. During these times of social distance and isolation,
I feel like it is so easy to become irritable, and then cards like these are definitely needed :)
The background I created by stamping the cute image all over my front panel. For coloring, I used watercolor pencils. The sentiment I stamped on vellum. As final touch, I added some sequins.

I hope you like how my card turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and keep safe!

My First Project for Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. I am so excited to share my first DT project for Creative Knockouts. This week’s theme is called “Spring Is Coming”, and there is also a fantastic prize to win; Di’s Digi Stamps offers a $6 voucher for one lucky winner, and that could be you! So I really hope you will find some time to create a project and share them with us!

To create this card, I first made a top folding note card out of yellow card stock and stamped the flowers onto the entire front. I used Hero Art’s Unicorn Pigment ink, so I set it aside to dry. In the meantime, I stamped the adorable image and colored it in using my watercolor pencils. They are my most favorite coloring medium, and I have some videos on my YouTube channel showing how I use them, so if you’re interested, feel free to check them out. After coloring, I first matted the image on black card stock, then added some craft foam behind it and glued that down onto my card base.

I hope you like how my card turned out, and I am looking forward to seeing what you create for this challenge!

Shopping My Stash/Oldies But Goodies #3

Hey there and welcome. For this card, I used some twine which has been in my stash for a quite long time. When shopping my stash, I also happened to find this adorable stamp, which used to be one of my favorites. For coloring the image, I used watercolor pencils.

Shopping My Stash/Oldies But Goodies #2

Hey there and welcome. For creating this card, I used some flock. I wanted to make a really
CAS card, I actually drew the images myself and to finish it off, I just added some twine.

Shopping My Stash/Oldies But Goodies #1

Hey there and welcome. I hope you are staying safe and well. These times are really hard, and it is harder to believe that it’s like this all over the world :(
For creating this card, I went shopping. Shopping my stash. I don’t have tons of supplies, but still there were things that I completely forgot about. For example, sequins.

Rainbow colored Flowers

Hey there and welcome. I hope everyone is staying safe and well during these troubled times.
Now more than ever, I am so thankful of my hobby to help me through these surreal times, and I guess many of you feel the same.

Being stuck at home, I had enough time to create this background. The stamps I used for this card are really old (I think they were the first ones that I ever purchased). I stamped and colored in the images one by one. To color them in, I used watercolor pencils. It literally took me hours to create this background, but it’s totally okay, as it distracted me from the daily news bulletins. After coloring, I die cut the sentiment and made two cards out of the background :)

I hope you like how my cards turned out.
