A Birthday Card

Hello and welcome. I hope all of you are staying safe and well. I got a little crafty again to help my indoor isolation, and this is the card I made. After stamping the beautiful (big) flower image, I colored it in with my watercolor pencils. I kind of messed up some parts of the image, so I decided to fussy cut it and save what I could. I then heat embossed the entire image using sparkle embossing powder. Some parts of it are pretty thin and fragile, so I heat embossed it twice. To assemble the card, I followed the sketch provided by MFT challenge blog. It’s hard to see on the photos, but I also stamped the front of my card base using VersaMark ink and a woodgrain stamp.

I hope you like how my card turned out.

Funny Cards at Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today I want to share with you my DT project for Creative Knockouts. This week’s theme is “Funny Cards”, and Jan’s Digi Stamps is the fabulous sponsor. One lucky winner has the chance to win a $10 store gift certificate, and that could be you, so I really hope you will find some time to create something and share them with us!

The image and sentiment of my choice were from the set called Glasses. I used the image to create my own background which was really easy and fast to do (one of the advantages of using digis: resize, copy and paste :D). I then colored in the background using bright rainbow colors to make it match the funny sentiment (this one is by far one of my most favorites, so hilarious and original!) Then I cut the background in three pieces and glued the outer ones on some black card stock. The sentiment I placed just between them. As final touch, I added some gems, and the card was finished. The remaining piece I am planning to turn into a bookmark later.
