Christmas in July Challenge At Creative Knockouts

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is “Christmas in July”, and The Paper Shelter as our generous sponsor offers 3 images for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

The adorable image I used is called Santa Leads The Way. For coloring, I used Prisma colored pencils. As you might already know, the stamp sets from The Paper Shelter come with beautiful patterned paper and pre-colored images as well, but I had some issues with my printer, so sadly I was not able to use those :( Luckily, I found some scrap Christmas DP in my stash. As a final touch, I added faux-stitching, applied a lot of Stickles, and my card was done.

Hey there and welcome. This time, I want to share my DT project for Creative Knockouts. The theme for this week is “Celebrations”, and SheepSki Designs as our generous sponsor offers 3 images for one lucky winner, so I really hope you will find some time to play along with us!

The adorable image I used is called Acorn Ale. For coloring, I used Prisma colored pencils. I wanted to keep this card really simple and focus on the cute image, and so decided to die cut inlay the sentiment. As a final touch, I added faux-stitching, applied a lot of Stickles onto the sentiment, and my card was done.

Hey there and welcome. Today, I want to share my DT project for The Crafter’s Cafe. The theme is “Layer it Up”, and we have two generous sponsors: Fred She Said and Decosse’s Dynamite, so I hope you will find some time to join in the fun.

To make this card, I used A Lovely Blossom & Butterfly Set. After coloring the images with Prisma colored pencils, I hand cut them. It took me like ages, but it did not really bother me because I find it pretty relaxing. The real problem was that I was not sure how to arrange those images: at first, I wanted to create a wreath, but then changed my mind and just spontaneously assembled them. After adding the die-cut sentiment, I applied a lot of Stickles on the greeting, middle of the flowers, and also on the bodies of the butterflies. In real life, the sparkle is really gorgeous, but sadly my camera did not catch it no matter how hard I tried.

The adorable image I used is called Shipwrecked. I kept this card really simple and just focused on the image. For coloring, I used Prisma colored pencils. To make the water sparkle, I grabbed a white gel pen and added little stars and dots.
